Delectable Desires Pastries was established in 2007 as a home based cake business which expanded into a wholesale business that developed in an incubator space in Jamaica Plain, MA.  During this time, Carlene O’Garro developed a strong wholesale clientele with various cafes throughout Boston as well as placement in over 40 Whole Food Grocery Stores from Maine down to RI.  Delectable Desires Pastries opened its first retail store location in West Roxbury, MA on January 2015. Delectable Desires Pastries and owner Carlene O’Garro has been featured and awarded by everyone from the City of Boston, The New York Times, Boston Globe, Accion East, Sam Adams Beer, Cambridge School Culinary Arts, Urban Updates, BNN News, Channel 7 News and the list goes on.  Owner and Pastry Chef of Boston newest bakery/cafe/cake shop Delectable Desires Pastries. Her love for cakes started at the age of 4 years old when she would spend time on Sunday in the kitchen with her mother.  Here she developed her passion and love for cakes which turned into a full time career.  Graduating from Jacksonville University 2004 with a degree and Biology and Psychology she got accepted into Suffolk Law Schools Fall 2005.  Deciding to forgo her acceptance into law school and follow her dream and passion for baking, she enrolled at Cambridge School of Culinary Arts Fall of 2006 and established Delectable Desires Pastries March 2007.
